Booky Wooky 2 - Russell Brand (2010)
I don't have MTV or any of the yooth tv programmes that are out there, so I haven't seen too much of Russell Brand. My guess that he has saturated the UK market, as they tend to overdue the exposure of their pseudo celebrities. At the beginning of this book he is still overdoing the drugs and the ladies and some of his exploits are quite amusing. At least for having a sex addiction, the guy actually seems to like the ladies and talks about them in glowing terms.
It was filled though with lots of bits about his mates and his radio show, which seemed like filler and was quite boring. I'm not sure I enjoy the humour of humiliating others and their families for the amusement of an audience, and think that a lot of the jokes may seem appealing to the twelve year old boys that are listening.
He does though seem an intelligent fellow, and the love for his lady Katy Perry is very sweet, which happens at the end of the book. So a 3/5 for this mixed read. |
