I'd never heard of this artist, but youtube directs you to new songs to discover which I enjoy. I have stopped listening to the radio a couple of years ago - too many ads, so find the internet is a good way to find new songs.
I agree. I do so dislike ads. However music makes me sad. I have all the long players..Roy Orbison , The Platters, Elvis, etc.. I loved them all but I do like Chopin. Always wanted a piano but 2nd best was given a piano accordion. Had lessons but gave up when I had to learn buttons. When I was 11, I bought all the popular sheet music and sang played on the keys. I loved it even if 2nd best. Somehow now I hear those songs from days gone by..,. When you hear Big Ben, Smoke gets in your eyes etc....the music and such happiness at those dances. Growing older is no fun. I just wish I could tell all the young what they are missing when they get all dressed up and saying they are then going out to get drunk. NOW THAT IS REALLY SAD.
I listen to the CBC and CKUA, which are NOT top 40 stations, and have a great variety, though I listen principally to classical music. It seems most radio stations seem to think people want to hear the announcers and disc jockeys more than the repetitive music...
