Juliana Brody is a Judge in the superior court of Massachusetts, when a indiscretion while away looks to threaten her marriage and derail her career. Somehow I didn't actually feel much danger or tension in this one, and like a lot of thrillers I just got a bit annoyed at the way the main character seemed to make so many bad decisions and take dumb risks in order to advance the plot. I sensed there would be a twist to the plot, but wasn't really surprised at how it all ended.

It is indeed annoying when a character does something stupid just to further the plot.
