I'm a long-time Star Wars (and Star Trek, for that matter... I'm 58 and remember when it was on television originally!).... and we saw Rogue One yesterday at the movie theater... I LOVED it.... but think the book might be a little mundane..... Go see it if you're any kind of a fan of the Star Wars movies.

I saw "The Force Awakens" and, though I liked it, it was essentially a re-telling of the first "Star Wars" movie, and didn't make me want to see any more. This sort is often called 'space opera', rather than science fiction. These can be put into other contexts, (westerns, adventure, spy thrillers) and be pretty much the same.
