Wendy and Lucy (2008)This years picks at the film festival seem to overwhelmingly be about being homeless and poor. I hope the universe isn't sending me a message. Wendy and her dog Lucy are travelling to Alaska to start a new life. Passing through Oregan, Wendy has car troubles and a couple of bad choices see her losing her dog Lucy. Stuck with no money, she then sets out to find her dog.
Simply made with few characters and not much of a wardrobe, it is still a likeable gentle film. Another reminder of going home to a warm bed and good shower, I'm very lucky.
